Zelenskyy warned of Russia's preparations for a massive strike and urged people not to ignore the warnings

Russian troops have prepared and are capable of launching a new large-scale attack on Ukrainian territory in the near future. For this reason, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged citizens in his evening video address on June 1 to strictly follow safety guidelines and not to ignore air raid sirens. 

The head of state emphasized that Ukrainian air defense forces are on constant combat alert and capable of repelling enemy attacks around the clock.

The defenders of the skies are ready to protect Ukrainian cities 24/7 to the extent permitted by available weapon stocks and current supplies from international partners. At the same time, Zelenskyy stressed the importance of every citizen’s personal responsibility, urging people to immediately head to the nearest shelters if a danger is announced.
