Ukraine launched drone strikes against nearly 20 regions of Russia in a single night

On the night of June 25, more than 20 regions of the Russian Federation came under a massive attack by Ukrainian aircraft-type drones, which spanned an area from the border regions to the Moscow region.

The Russian Ministry of Defense officially acknowledged the scale of the operation, announcing that air defense systems were activated in many regions of the country.

This attack was one of the largest since the start of hostilities.

The geographic scope of the nighttime strikes was exceptionally wide—the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, and Volgograd regions were all targeted.

Explosions were also heard in the Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, and Orenburg regions. The attack also struck the Penza, Smolensk, and Tula regions, the Moscow region, the Krasnodar Krai, and the temporarily occupied Crimea.

In addition to strikes on the Russian mainland and the peninsula, Russian authorities reported the alleged destruction of drones over the Azov and Black Seas.

In Odesa, drones attacked the beach area, resulting in fatalities and injuries.
