Ukraine has unveiled the Sea Trident underwater drone

On June 16, Ukraine unveiled the new Sea Trident heavy underwater drone, which is capable of carrying out extended missions and operating in coastal areas with heightened threat levels. Its new technical specifications expand its capabilities for maritime operations.

At the Eurosatory 2026 international defense exhibition in Paris, the Ukrainian company Global Mark presented the new heavy underwater drone Sea Trident, designed to strike strategic targets.

The Sea Trident is adapted for complex maritime operations requiring full autonomy and minimal visibility. The developers note that the vehicle can be used for both strike missions and logistical tasks.

One of the main features of the Ukrainian drone is its ability to deliver up to 1,000 kg of payload to designated targets. It is claimed that the Sea Trident is capable of striking strategic targets, performing logistical and transport tasks, delivering cargo, and intercepting and neutralizing other underwater unmanned vehicles.

The system is equipped with full autonomy and adaptive navigation capabilities, allowing it to operate without constant operator control.

According to the developers, the underwater drone has the following specifications:

  • range: up to 2,000 nautical miles;
  • weight: 10,000 kg;
  • dimensions: 10 × 2 × 1.5 meters;
  • maximum speed: 10 knots (about 18.5 km/h);
  • cruising speed: 6 knots (approximately 11 km/h);
  • operating depth: up to 60 meters;
  • payload: up to 1,000 kg.

These parameters allow the Sea Trident to carry out extended missions and operate in coastal areas with elevated threat levels.

A representative of Militariy, who visited the Eurosatory international exhibition in Paris, spoke about the underwater vehicle.
