Ukraine Is Testing a New Generation of Interceptors Against Jet-Powered Suicide Drones — Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is working on a new generation of interceptor drones designed to counter Russian “Shahed” drones.
According to him, the relevant designs already exist and are undergoing testing. The government plans to accelerate all stages of development to provide the Ukrainian military with an effective means of defense in sufficient quantities.
Zelenskyy reported that he discussed the issue of countering Russian drones and cooperation with manufacturers with Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty. Funding for this work, he said, has already been secured.
Separately, during the meeting, reports were heard regarding the situation on the front lines. The president noted that Ukrainian troops continue to actively defend their positions.
Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to the soldiers holding the line in Donetsk Oblast, particularly the troops of the 3rd Army Corps, the 66th and 125th Mechanized Brigades, as well as the 46th Separate Airborne Brigade.

In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, an enemy drone struck the roof of a four-story business center. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances and address the consequences of the incident.
