Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out long-range strikes on military-industrial facilities in several regions of Russia. The strikes targeted the Saratov Region, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and the Voronezh Region.

According to the head of state, Ukraine continues to respond to Russian attacks and the prolongation of the war by striking key targets on Russian territory.

“Ukraine is quite rightly responding to Russia’s strikes against our country and its efforts to prolong the war. Today, our long-range strikes reached the Saratov region, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan—distances of approximately 800, 1,400, and 1,500 kilometers from the front line. They also reached the Voronezh region, which is about 300 kilometers from our border,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

The president reported that during the operation, the Saratov oil refinery was struck, as well as an oil refinery in Tatarstan. According to him, the strike on the facility in Tatarstan was carried out by Special Operations Forces soldiers.

“The Saratov oil refinery has been struck. Special Operations Forces struck an oil refinery in Tatarstan,” the head of state noted.

Zelenskyy thanked the servicemen of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and Ukrainian intelligence agencies for conducting successful operations on the territory of the aggressor country.

The president also emphasized that Russia must feel the consequences of the war it itself unleashed against Ukraine.

The Russians must feel that their state is waging this war. Thank you to everyone who is helping to defend Ukraine,” Zelenskyy concluded.

As a reminder, on July 8 in Ufa, Russia (Republic of Bashkortostan), a fire broke out at one of the oil facilities following an attack. Due to the incident, dozens of flights were delayed at the city’s airport, and some planes were rerouted to neighboring airports.

As a reminder, Russia’s largest oil refinery halted operations following a drone attack.

Volodymyr Orlov presented an overview of key military, political, and economic events in Ukraine—including massive shelling, retaliatory strikes on Russian territory, air defense challenges, and new government decisions.

Zelenskyy revealed details of the strike on the oil refinery in Omsk.
