Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 112 drones that Russia had launched since the evening

Air defense forces shot down 112 drones used by Russian troops to attack Ukraine beginning on the evening of September 27. The air attack continued into the night of September 28.

 

According to the report, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, the enemy launched 165 attack UAVs of the Shahed type (79 of which were jet-powered), “Gerbera” drones, and “Parody” decoy drones from the following directions: Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo (Russian Federation), a temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region, and Gvardeyskoye (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 7:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, air defense forces shot down or neutralized 112 drones.

Impacts were recorded at 14 locations, and debris from downed targets was found at seven locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs currently in the airspace, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

As a result of another attack by Russian drones on Kyiv on September 27, debris from downed targets fell in the Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of the capital. This was reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

In Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district, a four-story non-residential administrative building was hit on the afternoon of September 27.

In Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, a non-residential building was damaged as a result of the Russian attack on September 27. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. Later, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that three people were injured as a result of the attack.
