Ukrainian drones simultaneously attacked a Lukoil oil refinery and a Wildberries warehouse in Russia

Ukrainian FP-1 drones struck two key targets in Russia overnight—an oil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region and a large Wildberries logistics hub in the Tambov region.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out strikes against Russia’s fuel and logistics infrastructure.

The following targets were attacked:

  • Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast — the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery with a capacity of approximately 17 million metric tons of crude oil per year;
  • Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast—the Wildberries logistics hub, covering an area of about 108,000 square meters and designed to store up to 54 million units of goods.

According to eyewitnesses, explosions were heard near the oil refinery around 3:40 a.m. Afterward, footage of a massive fire near the facility began circulating online.

The plant produces automotive gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, as well as lubricants. Some of these products, particularly jet fuel, are used by the Russian military.

In Kotovsk, a fire also broke out at a large Wildberries logistics facility following the attack.

Eyewitnesses reported that at least ten explosions were heard over the course of about 40 minutes, after which a fire broke out in one of the city’s districts.

Operations at the logistics hub were suspended following the attack. In addition, flight restrictions were temporarily imposed at Tambov Airport.

Thus, the simultaneous FP-1 strike on a fuel facility and a major logistics center hit two critical sectors of Russian infrastructure at once.

This was reported by the Fire Point Telegram channel.

On the night of August 26, drones again attacked the Wildberries logistics center in Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, Russia, after which a massive fire broke out at the facility. According to Russian authorities, the fire covered an area of at least 40,000 square meters, and one employee was injured.

As a reminder, the Orsk oil refinery in the Orenburg region of Russia completely halted operations following an attack by Ukrainian drones.

Freight transportation costs are rising in Russia due to the strikes on oil refineries, according to Reuters.
