Ukrainian forces hold defensive positions in Myrnohrad
Ukrainian troops are controlling the northern part of Pokrovsk and holding defensive lines in Myrnohrad. On the Kramatorsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine maintain positions in the Orikhovo-Vasylivka area, refuting rumours of its capture. The enemy is sustaining losses, while Ukrainian units continue active search-and-assault operations, the press service of the operational command “East” reported.
Units of the “East” group of forces continue active combat operations on several directions in Donetsk region, holding back Russian advances. Ukrainian defenders control northern Pokrovsk and are engaged in urban fighting, while in Myrnohrad they maintain defensive lines and eliminate enemy forces on the outskirts.
Over the past 24 hours, 22 assaults near seven settlements on the Pokrovsk direction have been repelled, dozens of enemy troops eliminated, and a large number of hostile drones destroyed. “Ukrainian units continue to control the northern part of Pokrovsk. Search-and-assault operations and elimination of enemy forces are ongoing,” the press service reported. Logistics in the area remains challenging, but troops are expanding supply corridors to Myrnohrad.
On the Sloviansk direction, defence forces stopped six enemy attempts to advance, with the most tense situation currently near Dronivka. The enemy is concentrating resources for assaults, but pinpoint strikes continue on their assembly areas, including the destruction of an enemy self-propelled artillery system, the Akatsiya. On the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops hold designated positions, and reports of the capture of Orikhovo-Vasylivka are unconfirmed.
The situation remains difficult on the Kostiantynivka direction as well, with Ukrainian units repelling attacks by numerically superior enemy forces. In total, in the area of responsibility of operational command “East” over the past day, 252 Russian troops and dozens of hostile UAV command posts have been destroyed.
