Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces struck the Russian dry cargo ship “Leonid Pestrikov” in the port of the temporarily occupied city of Berdyansk. According to reports, the ship was in port at the time of the strike. Details regarding the extent of the damage are currently being determined.
"Initially, our colleagues struck the target with a front-strike class UAV; however, this was insufficient for the task. By order of the commander of the 17th Army Corps, the 422nd Separate UAV Regiment 'LUFTWAFFE' was urgently deployed, a "Zozulya" mid-strike UAV, equipped with a 50-kg high-explosive warhead," the statement reads.
The vessel was significantly damaged.
