In Crimea, drones attacked railway infrastructure in Dzhankoy
On the night of June 1, strike drones attacked railway infrastructure facilities in the temporarily occupied city of Dzhankoy. The strikes triggered a massive fire at the site, and some of the buildings sustained significant damage.
According to preliminary reports, one of the administrative buildings was completely destroyed by the strike, and other facilities within the railway hub also sustained serious damage.
Reports are circulating online that a Russian military train, which was in the area of the strike, may have been hit. However, there is currently no official confirmation of this information.
Eyewitnesses report a massive fire and thick smoke that were visible after a series of explosions. The extent of possible Russian losses and the impact on the railway hub’s operations are still being assessed.
Dzhankoy is one of the key logistics hubs for Russian occupation forces in Crimea, through which personnel, equipment, and military cargo are transported to the southern sector of the front.
