Russia attacked Kharkiv and the surrounding region overnight; there are casualties
On the night of June 2, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv and four communities in the Kharkiv region. Fourteen people were injured in the shelling, including one child. The State Emergency Service also reported damage to civilian infrastructure.
“Last night, Russian troops launched a combined strike on Kharkiv and the Barvinkivska, Donetska, Merefyanska, and Vysochanska communities in the region,” the statement said.
Residential buildings, outbuildings, garages, cars, and other civilian objects were on fire. Multi-story and private residential buildings were also damaged.
According to preliminary data, 14 people were injured, including one child. Units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, medical personnel, volunteers, and utility services were working at the sites of the incidents.
