In Crimea, Ukrainian special forces destroyed a Su-24M at the Saki airfield

Fighters from the Ukrainian National Guard’s “Omega” Special Operations Center used strike drones to destroy a Russian Su-24M front-line bomber at the Saki military airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported by Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko, commander of the Ukrainian National Guard. According to him, the operation was carried out by combat divers from the “Omega” Special Purpose Center, who delivered a high-precision strike against the aircraft deep behind enemy lines.

Pivnenko noted that after identifying the target, the Ukrainian military carefully planned the operation. The strike was carried out just as the Russian bomber was preparing for a combat sortie to launch attacks on Ukrainian territory.

According to him, the first drone struck the nose of the Su-24M, and the second delivered a follow-up strike to the fuel tank area, resulting in the complete destruction of the aircraft.

The National Guard emphasized that the operation once again demonstrated the ability of Ukrainian special forces to deliver precision strikes against priority enemy targets far behind enemy lines.

Oleksandr Pivnenko reported this on Facebook on July 16.

Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 1,340 Russian occupiers and destroyed 66 artillery systems.

Fighters from the “Prybultsi” unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade destroyed a Russian “Orion” reconnaissance and strike drone using an interceptor drone.
