In the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Russian icebreaker "Purga," according to the General Staff
On the night of March 25, Ukrainian defense forces struck an occupiers' ship at the Vyborg Shipyard.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The vessel in question is the Project 23550 patrol icebreaker "Purga," intended for service with the Border Guard Service of the Russian FSB.
“Such vessels perform the functions of both an icebreaker and a military ship,” the General Staff noted.
Russia reported one of the largest nighttime drone attacks in recent times. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense forces allegedly shot down 389 Ukrainian drones in various regions of the country overnight.
As a reminder, Russia is attempting to escalate its drone attacks on Ukraine. So far, it has not been able to maintain this pace consistently. However, these actions may indicate preparations for a protracted war and new large-scale strikes.
