An explosion occurred at the Kazan Gunpowder Plant in Russia
A powerful industrial explosion occurred at a state-owned gunpowder factory in the Kirovsky District of Kazan.
According to the press service of the head of Tatarstan, the incident led to the partial collapse of one of the factory’s buildings. At least three people are known to have been injured, and their condition is being assessed.
The Kazan Gunpowder Plant is one of the oldest defense-industrial facilities in the Russian Federation, founded as far back as the 18th century. The plant specializes in the production of gunpowder and propellants for small arms, artillery, aviation weapons, and close-combat systems. The plant is officially included in the list of systemically important enterprises of the aggressor country.

On July 3, a massive fire broke out at the Tambov Gunpowder Plant in the Russian city of Kotovsk—one of the Russian Federation’s key defense enterprises. According to official reports, three people were killed and three others were injured as a result of the incident.
