Video: Drones Attacked the Engels Military Airfield in Russia
On the night of August 28, a series of explosions rocked the Saratov Region of the Russian Federation, and Russian air defense systems were active in the Engels area. Local Telegram channels reported a drone attack on the “Engels-2” military airfield, as well as an unconfirmed report of a possible fire involving a Tu-95 bomber.
According to available information, drones attacked the area around the “Engels-2” military airfield near the city of the same name. Eyewitnesses report numerous explosions, as well as the activation of Russian air defense systems.
Some Telegram channels report that one of the Tu-95 strategic bombers may have caught fire on the base. This information has not yet been officially confirmed. It is also unknown at this time whether there is any other damage or loss of aircraft at the airfield.
As of the time of publication, Russian authorities had not officially reported on the consequences of the attack.
