Video: Drones attacked an ammunition depot in Mariupol and targets in three Russian cities
On the night of March 11, a series of powerful explosions were reported in temporarily occupied Mariupol, as well as in several Russian cities.
The attacks on strategic targets caused fires, and local residents reported prolonged detonation of ammunition.
The first reports of hits came from the Mariupol direction shortly after midnight. According to preliminary monitoring information, a Russian ammunition depot was targeted.
“Near Mariupol, it is reported that an ammunition depot was attacked, after which detonation began,” sources say, although some channels indicate strikes directly within the city limits.
A few hours after the incidents in Mariupol, the series of explosions spread to Russian regions. The loudest was in Syzran, where local authorities reported activation of air defense systems.
Official sources say the drone was reportedly shot down, but a large fire broke out at the site afterward.
Residents of Syzran complained on social media that they heard at least 10 loud explosions in different parts of the city.
At present, there is no exact information on “what is actually burning — no details yet,” but the nature of the flames suggests that an industrial or energy facility was hit.
In addition to Syzran, explosions were also recorded in Sochi and Samara. Russian Telegram channels widely shared videos with the sounds of UAV flights followed by bursts of fire.
Despite numerous eyewitness reports, as of morning, no official comments from Russian military leadership regarding the consequences of the night attack have been issued.
It should be recalled that there were reports of a strike on a defense factory in Bryansk.
Additionally, in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, drones attacked a substation and an oil depot in Abinsk.
