Video: The State Emergency Service showed the horrific aftermath of Russia's attack on Kyiv
Four people were killed and another 23 were injured as a result of Russia’s massive nighttime attack on Kyiv on the night of August 20. Strikes, damage, and fires were reported in the Svyatoshynskyi, Darnytskyi, and Solomyanskyi districts of the capital.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, the enemy struck an industrial facility and caused fires in warehouse buildings covering areas of 500 and 1,000 square meters. One fatality has been confirmed in the district, and rescue workers are working to free a person trapped under the rubble.



In the Solomyanskyi district, the 8th and 9th floors of a nine-story residential building were destroyed, with a fire breaking out on floors 7 through 9. In addition, windows were shattered in residential buildings and a medical facility in the district, where a utility room and a car also caught fire; fires in garages, a store, and cars have been confirmed. People were trapped in two residential buildings and a school shelter.



In the Darnytskyi district, a strike hit a non-residential facility, causing a fire in storage areas and cars covering an area of about 1,000 square meters; there, State Emergency Service units rescued one person and handed them over to medical personnel.
State Emergency Service units and all relevant emergency services continue to operate at the scene; information regarding the consequences of the strike is being clarified.
Earlier reports indicated that an accident at power facilities was recorded in the Brovary community as a result of the enemy attack.
