Video: The moment of Russia's missile strike on Kyiv was captured on patrol officers' body cameras
Body-worn cameras worn by Kyiv patrol officers captured the moment a Russian missile struck the capital during the nighttime attack on September 8, which involved missiles and strike drones.
Police officers were among the first to provide assistance to injured civilians, and they transported one of the victims to a medical facility in a patrol car.
The released footage shows the moment of the explosion and the first few minutes of the law enforcement officers’ response immediately following the strike. Patrol officers quickly surveyed the area around the impact site, located the wounded, and provided them with necessary first aid before handing them over to medical personnel.
This was reported by the publication “Censor.NET,” citing Oleksiy Biloshitsky, head of the Patrol Police Department.
On September 8, during a Russian attack on Kyiv, a Russian drone struck the building housing the “We Are Ukraine” television channel. The strike partially destroyed the building, and five employees of the television channel were injured.
On September 8, Russian troops launched an attack with two “Shahed” drones on the Kyiv–Sumy train. The train had been stopped in advance, and passengers and crew members were evacuated following a warning from the Ukrzaliznytsia monitoring team.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region due to the Russian Federation’s attack.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
