Video: Huge lines have formed at a gas station in Moscow

The widespread fuel crisis, which had previously affected Russia’s border regions and the temporarily occupied Crimea, has now reached Moscow. On June 16, drivers in the Russian capital are complaining en masse about fuel shortages and posting videos on social media showing miles-long lines at gas stations.

One local resident filmed a kilometer-long line at a Moscow gas station, expressing shock that the fuel crisis had directly affected central Russia.

“This is some kind of nightmare—just look at what’s happening in Moscow. A kilometer-long traffic jam at the gas station; we’ve been standing here for forty minutes already. And of course, the Mercedes is the most beautiful car in the traffic after being repainted. It’s a nightmare; I thought this disaster wouldn’t reach us,” the Russian man laments in the video.

As a reminder, the Moscow refinery, which was attacked overnight, controls a third of the fuel market in the Russian capital.
