Zelenskyy met with Drapaty and shared the first details
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conversation with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapati, during which they discussed the operational situation on the front lines and the results of long-range operations. Special attention was paid to the combat situation in the Donetsk region, as well as to further steps to increase pressure on Russian troops.
The President also announced that he plans to hold an expanded meeting in the near future with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara to coordinate further actions. The military leadership intends to continue intensive attacks behind enemy lines using domestically produced weapon systems.
“Today I spoke with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Drapaty about the current situation on the front lines, particularly in the Donetsk region, and about our long-range operations and precision strikes,” the president noted.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that Ukrainian forces will certainly deliver a fitting military response to Russian attacks that are destroying civilian and port infrastructure.
In recent days, alarming reports have been coming in from various regions, particularly Sumy Oblast, regarding the consequences of enemy strikes on ordinary agricultural enterprises and bread-producing facilities. In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to urgently inform international partners about this deliberate and despicable Russian tactic.
“This already happened in 2022, when food security in various parts of the world came under attack due to Russian aggression,” the Ukrainian leader recalled.
The head of state made these remarks during an evening address on Saturday, July 25.
