On the afternoon of August 16, a Russian jet-powered drone attacked a post office located in a shopping center in a suburb of Odesa. Two people were injured in the strike.

“The enemy cynically attacked a post office in a shopping center in a suburb of Odesa with a jet-powered drone, Kipper said.

According to preliminary information, a 42-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man were injured in the Russian attack.

Both victims were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. Medical personnel are providing them with the necessary care.

Details regarding the consequences of the strike are currently being verified, and relevant emergency services are on the scene.

Meanwhile, local Telegram channels are circulating information about a possible strike on the “Epicenter” shopping center in Odesa and are posting videos and photos from the scene.

However, there is currently no official confirmation of this information.

Ukrainian emergency services continue to deal with the aftermath of the Russian strikes that took place overnight and in the morning of August 16. In Kyiv, the fires have already been extinguished, and emergency repair work is currently underway. In total, Russian troops have attacked 13 regions of Ukraine over the course of the week.

Early this morning, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on the Velykochernetskyi Starosta District in Sumy, dropping four guided bombs on civilian infrastructure.

In Zaporizhzhia, on the night of August 15, Russian drones caused two fires. Rescue workers extinguished the fires at a shopping center and a warehouse; no one was injured.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 971 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region. Forty-two settlements came under fire, and two people were injured as a result of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia district. There were also 44 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure.
