Russian troops carried out an airstrike on one of Kherson’s districts this morning, dropping two guided bombs on a high-rise building. This was reported on August 3 by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration.

According to him, the strike took place in the city’s Dniprovskyi district. The high-rise building was damaged as a result of the attack.

“Russian occupiers continue to use aircraft against the peaceful residents of Kherson. Today, the occupiers dropped two guided bombs on a high-rise building in the Dniprovskyi district,” the statement reads.

According to preliminary information, there were no casualties, as no one was living in the building at the time of the strike.

Information regarding the extent of the damage and other possible consequences of the Russian attack is currently being verified.

As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, on August 2, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv and 17 settlements in the region. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and another was wounded.

Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces struck 1,745 enemy targets over the course of the day. The results of the Ukrainian drone operators’ work were reported by the Unmanned Systems Forces on the morning of August 3, 2026.
