Video: The Security Service of Ukraine has struck another 11 vessels in Russia's shadow fleet
On July 16, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) announced that they had struck 11 more vessels of Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet” as part of Operation “MoLoChKa.” The results of the operation were reported by UAF Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.
According to him, five oil tankers, one gas tanker, three dry cargo ships, and two tugs were struck that day. The operations were conducted in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas with the participation of the “Madyar’s Birds,” “Kairos,” “K-2,” and the 1st Separate Center of the Special Operations Forces.
The Unmanned Systems Forces noted that, in total, between July 6 and 16, 147 vessels of the Russian Federation’s shadow fleet were struck as part of Operation “MoLoChKa.” Of these, 117 were in the Sea of Azov, and another 30 were in the Black Sea.
According to the commander of the Special Forces, the goal of the operation is to disrupt the logistics of transporting Russian oil, fuel, and other cargoes that are being shipped in circumvention of international sanctions.
“Every self-propelled vessel will be turned into a barge drifting at sea, blind and deaf; the goal is not to pollute the waters with oil slicks, so there will be no holes punched in the vessels,” the statement reads.
Brovdi announced this on social media on July 16.
On the morning of July 15, soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces struck a Russian Mi-28 “Night Hunter” attack helicopter in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.
On the night of July 13, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck 15 vessels of the Russian shadow fleet. The results of the operation were reported by Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.
