A former AfD member announced the formation of a German battalion within the Russian Armed Forces
Murat Dadaev, a former member of the German party “Alternative for Germany” (AfD), also known as Noah Krieger, has announced his intention to form a battalion within the Russian armed forces, which is planned to include German citizens.
According to The Insider, the unit is to be named “Krieger.” According to Dadaev, its main task will be to combat drones, and the battalion itself will reportedly not be stationed directly on the front lines.
In an Instagram post, Dadaev wrote that his path “runs through the oaks of Germany and the birches of Russia,” also mentioning his Chechen heritage.
In addition, on July 12, he posted a photo of a medal which, according to him, he received from the commander of the “Storm” unit as part of the activities of the Russian veterans’ organization “Combat Brotherhood.”
