Video: In Dnipro, a volunteer rescued people from his own destroyed home
During the nighttime attack on Dnipro, volunteer Yevhen helped rescue people from under the rubble, even though his own apartment had been destroyed.
The man lived on the eighth floor of the building that was hit. His home was completely destroyed—he was left without documents or belongings.
Despite this, immediately after the explosion, Yevgen, along with a team of rapid-response volunteers, began helping residents escape the smoke-filled stairwell and clear the rubble.
“My home is fine—it’s just gone. I’m homeless, but I have a tourniquet,” he said.
On the night of April 23, Russian troops attacked Dnipro. Residential buildings in the city were damaged, and fires broke out.
As of this morning, at least 10 people are known to have been injured, including two children. Four people have been hospitalized with moderate injuries.
