Around 4:00 a.m., a powerful explosion occurred in the Greater Yalta area. Following this, the Southern Coast of Crimea lost power.
In addition, a large-scale fire broke out in the village of Chistenke in the Simferopol district. According to preliminary reports, the largest wholesale and distribution center of the “Products at Home” chain caught fire. There is currently no official confirmation of this information.
The “Products at Home” chain has been operating in occupied Crimea since 2015, using stores seized from the Ukrainian ATB chain. It has over 170 retail locations in 56 settlements across the peninsula, as well as one store in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.
Meanwhile, thick smoke rose over the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast. Prior to this, a drone alert had been issued in the city. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
In local chat rooms, residents speculate that a gas station or a fuel truck may have caught fire, but this information has not been officially confirmed.
