Video: Ukrainian FPV drones destroyed a Russian Hyacinth-S in the Kursk region

Soldiers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade used FPV drones to destroy a Russian 2S5 “Hyacinth-S” self-propelled artillery system in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The Russian military had been shelling Ukrainian positions using this equipment.

During yet another artillery attack on Ukrainian positions, scouts from the 21st Brigade launched a reconnaissance UAV to identify the firing positions of Russian troops near the village of Borki in the Kursk region.

Aerial reconnaissance teams detected an active “Hyacinth-S” self-propelled artillery system, which was firing on Ukrainian positions at that moment.

After the target was identified, strike FPV drones were promptly dispatched to the area.

As a result of a precision strike, the Russian self-propelled artillery system was completely destroyed.

According to the Ukrainian military, the cost of such a self-propelled artillery system is approximately $4 million.

Thus, Ukrainian FPV drone operators eliminated an artillery system that Russian troops had been using to shell the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The “Kursk” Military Group reported this, posting a video of the combat operation on Facebook.

A video also appeared online showing the combat operations of a Ukrainian crew operating the “Osa” air defense system, which destroyed a Russian “Geran-4” jet drone. The enemy drone was traveling at a speed of over 500 km/h.

Over the course of August 20, Russian troops carried out 1,069 strikes on 51 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Four people were wounded as a result of the enemy attacks.

On the evening of August 20 and overnight on August 21, Russian forces attacked the Nikopol, Synelnykove, and Pavlohrad districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones. Local authorities reported on the consequences of the strikes.

On the night of August 21, Russian forces attacked the village of Lebyazhe in the Chuhuiv district with six strike UAVs. Two women were killed in the strike, two others were injured, and private homes were damaged or destroyed.
