Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets struck Russian military positions in the Kursk region, halting an attempted advance into the Sumy region. The attack was aimed at halting the Russians’ advance toward the village of Ryzhivka.
According to his report, Russian assault groups, supported by drones, attempted to advance from the border town of Tyotkino in the Kursk region.
Local Territorial Defense units detected the enemy in a timely manner and guided the air force to the area where the assault groups were concentrated and to the positions of enemy drone crews.
MiG-29 fighter jets struck targets on Russian territory, using GBU-39 and AASM HAMMER guided bombs.
According to “Sunflower,” Russian forces attempted to intercept the air bombs. In particular, they fired four missiles at one of them simultaneously.
It is known that the 1,427th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Russian Ground Forces is operating in this sector.
Overall, the situation in the area remains under control. Since early March, the front line in the Ryzhivka area has remained virtually unchanged.
