VIDEO: The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out Operation Auchan, which thwarted the Russian Federation's offensive for half a year
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov revealed details of Operation “Auchan,” during which the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck 1,180 Russian targets deep behind enemy lines in two phases.
According to him, during the first phase—after deploying specially designed drones and gathering intelligence—the Ukrainian military struck 949 enemy targets in three days. This forced Russian troops to withdraw a significant portion of their equipment from the front lines, and it took several months to replace the losses. According to Fedorov, it was this operation that effectively derailed the Russian Federation’s mechanized offensive for about half a year.
The second phase was directed against Russian artillery. A new type of ammunition was developed for this phase, resulting in the engagement of 231 targets, 171 of which were destroyed.
In total, 1,180 Russian targets were struck during the two phases of the operation. Fedorov emphasized that such strikes not only destroy equipment but also disrupt the enemy’s plans and reduce its offensive capabilities.
