Video: Ukrainian Armed Forces shoot down enemy Ka-52 helicopter with FPV drone in Donbas
In the Pokrovsk area, Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian Ka-52 "Alligator" attack helicopter using an FPV drone.
This was reported by soldiers of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Handziuk.
A video has been released online showing the Russian helicopter catching fire on the ground after being hit.
It is noted that this is a rare case where expensive aviation equipment was destroyed using a relatively inexpensive drone.
According to estimates, the cost of a single Ka-52 helicopter is about $16 million, while an FPV drone costs only a few hundred dollars.
Hundreds of attacks are taking place on the front lines, with the heaviest fighting in the Pokrovsk and Kostyantynivkasectors.
Additionally, the occupiers shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 30 times: one person was wounded.
Russia attacked an ambulance crew in the Kharkiv region with an FPV drone.
