With 180 engagements in a single day, the Pokrovsk sector has become the hottest spot on the front line

Over the past 24 hours, 180 combat engagements were recorded along the front line, with the majority of attacks occurring in the Pokrovsk sector, where Russian troops attempted to break through the defenses dozens of times. Ukrainian forces not only repelled the onslaught but also inflicted losses on the enemy, destroying personnel and equipment.

Fighting continues along virtually the entire front line, where the enemy is simultaneously applying pressure with aircraft, drones, and artillery; however, Ukrainian units are holding their positions and responding with counterattacks.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 180 combat engagements with Russian troops took place on June 9. The occupiers actively used aviation, dropping nearly 200 guided bombs, as well as thousands of kamikaze drones and over two thousand rounds of various types of weaponry. In fact, combat operations took place across nearly all key sectors, from north to south, where the enemy attempted to exploit weaknesses in the Ukrainian defense.

The most intense fighting took place in the Pokrovsk direction, where 27 assault attacks were recorded over the past 24 hours. Russian units attempted to advance simultaneously in dozens of settlements, including Shakove, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, and others.

Ukrainian troops not only stopped these attempts but also inflicted significant losses on the enemy. According to preliminary estimates, at least 26 invaders were killed here, and another 16 were wounded. In addition to personnel, the enemy lost equipment—vehicles, specialized vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems, and a drone control center were destroyed.

The situation was no less tense in the Lyman, Sloviansk, and Kostiantynivka sectors, where Russian troops also attempted to launch wave-based attacks.

In the north and in the Kursk region, fighting and airstrikes were reported, while in the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions several times.

Ukrainian units repelled attacks across all sectors, preventing the enemy from gaining a foothold or advancing. The General Staff reports that the enemy continues to actively use kamikaze drones, artillery, and aviation, attempting to maintain constant pressure along the entire front line.

At the same time, Ukrainian defense forces are destroying enemy equipment, neutralizing drones, and launching counterattacks, gradually depleting the enemy’s resources. In other areas, no significant changes in the situation have been recorded, and attempts by Russian troops to advance remain unsuccessful, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concluded. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

The General Staffreleased a map of combat operations in Ukraine as of June 5, 2026.

On June 4, the General Staff updated the map ofhostilities and recorded 279 clashes.

Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate reported on drones with a range of up to 3,500 km.

Ukraine’s unmanned systems forces reported the destruction of two Tu-142 aircraft and an Iskander operational-tactical missile system at a military airfield in Taganrog, Russia.
