The High Command will inspect the service of the Skelya Regiment near Pokrovsk
Ukraine's High Command is conducting an official investigation into the actions of a unit of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment "Skelya" in the Hryshyne area of Donetsk Oblast.
This was reported by the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
On March 31, under favorable weather conditions, the regiment, together with the 155th Mechanized Brigade, carried out active operations to advance the offensive and defend positions in the Pokrovsk urban area, using armored vehicles, aerial reconnaissance, artillery, and drones for fire support.
“To support our fighters and destroy the advancing enemy, it is necessary to carry out counterattacks. Otherwise, the enemy may encircle some of our positions, and all personnel will perish without rotation, evacuation, or reinforcements,” the “Skelya” regiment noted.

According to their data, during the counterattack, enemy drones struck four units of Ukrainian armored vehicles. The regiment’s losses amounted to two soldiers who were killed near the vehicles; however, all crews were evacuated, and the assault group continues to fight at the site.
Earlier, Defense Minister Advisor Serhiy Sternenko claimed that the “Skelya” regiment allegedly “sent a column of vehicles to storm a position near Pokrovsk recklessly, just as the Russians do.” The regiment noted that this assessment was based on videos and posts from Russian sources, which deliberately spliced together footage from different days and sections of the front line.
“We are open to professional dialogue, inspections, and analysis. But we consider it unacceptable to publicly circulate a statement by a representative of the defense ministry not based on communication with participants in the operation, not based on data from an official investigation, but solely on the basis of videos and statements from the enemy. Such an approach only plays into the enemy’s hands,” the “Skelya” regiment emphasizes.
The regiment emphasizes that it is conducting its own analysis of the actions, particularly the operation on March 31, and the relevant materials will be forwarded to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
“An internal investigation is underway. We ask that you refrain from publicizing unprofessional assessments. They may negatively impact the further course of combat operations in the Pokrovsk agglomeration,” added the 7th Corps.
