There were 137 clashes on the front line, with the heaviest fighting taking place in the Pokrovsk direction
On April 29, 137 combat engagements were recorded on the front line between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian troops. The heaviest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy launched 31 attacks. The Ukrainian Armed Forces neutralized 65 invaders in this sector of the front.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 10:00 p.m.
"Since the start of this day, there have been 137 combat engagements. The enemy launched one missile strike—using two missiles—and carried out 49 airstrikes—dropping 155 guided bombs. In addition, they deployed 4,642 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,476 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions,” the statement reads.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks; the occupiers carried out 63 shelling attacks on our troops’ positions and populated areas, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units six times in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, and Krasne Pershe.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations today.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five attempts by the invaders to advance toward the settlements of Drobysheve, Stavy, and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled seven assaults by the occupiers toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and in the areas of the settlements of Yampil, Zakytne, and Riznykivka. Two firefights are ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders once in the area of Nykyforivka.
Defense forces successfully repelled 18 enemy assaults in the Kostyantynivka sector near Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, Rusyno Yar, Oleksandro-Shultynivka, and Stepanivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 31 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance toward the settlements of Novopavlivka, Bilytske, Dorozhne, and Kuchery Yar, as well as in the areas surrounding the settlements of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Nikanorivka, Rivne, Molodetske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, and Novopidhorodne. One firefight is still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, 55 occupiers were eliminated and 10 wounded in this sector today; three enemy vehicles and two units of special equipment were destroyed, one artillery piece, five vehicles, and 68 enemy infantry shelters were damaged. A total of 115 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or neutralized.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the occupiers attempted five times to improve their position by attacking in the direction of Oleksandrohrad, Kalynivka, and Novozhorzhia.
In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Pryluky, Olenokostiantynivka, Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Huliaipole, and toward Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, and Charivne. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Zirnytsia, Hirke, Kopani, Barvinivka, Vozdvyzhivka, Lyubytske, Huliaipil, Dolynka, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out one attack toward Novoandriivka and launched airstrikes on the areas around the settlements of Tavriiske and Orikhiv.
In the Dnipro direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled four enemy attacks in the area of the Antonivsky Bridge and Bilohrudy Island.
In other sectors, there were no significant changes in the situation, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
Under the “eBaly” program, over 181,000 pieces of equipment have already been delivered to the front.
