Two people were killed and five others were wounded as a result of a Russian airstrike on Sumy

On Sunday, September 27, Russian forces fired three guided aerial bombs at Sumy, killing two people—including a 16-year-old girl—and wounding five others, among whom was a child.

According to Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, the victims included an elderly woman and a minor. According to local media reports, 16-year-old Kateryna was running to the nearest shelter after hearing the air raid siren, but was crushed by a tree that fell as a result of the explosion.

One of the three strikes occurred near the Family and Children’s Support Center, causing damage to the building. There were no visitors inside at the time of the strike.

On the evening of September 25, a Russian drone struck Sumy. A 14-year-old girl was injured in the attack; she was on the street near the impact site at the time of the explosion. The girl was hospitalized; doctors describe her condition as serious but stable.

Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia; there are fatalities and injuries.
