Russians attacked the Kharkiv region; five people were killed and 49 wounded over the past day
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv and 13 settlements in the Kharkiv region. Five people were killed and 49 others were wounded as a result of the attacks.
In Kharkiv, two women, aged 66 and 80, were killed as a result of Russian strikes. Another 42 people were injured, including three children.
In Shevchenkove, Kupianskyi District, a 74-year-old man was injured, and two other women suffered acute stress reactions.
Three more people were killed in attacks in the Zolochiv and Derhachi communities.
Specifically:
- a 50-year-old man was killed in a field near Skovorodynivka;
- a 66-year-old man was killed on the road between Dovzhik and Myronivka;
- a 75-year-old man was killed in Ruska Lozova.
A 44-year-old man was also wounded near Ruska Lozova.
Three other people—a 42-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old boy—suffered acute stress reactions.
According to the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Russian troops attacked the region with six guided aerial bombs, as well as “Lancet” and “Molniya” drones, FPV drones, and other UAVs.
In Kharkiv, the shelling damaged 23 private homes, an educational institution, office buildings, seven cars, and power lines.
Damage was also reported in the Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv districts.
The transit evacuation center in Lozova received 171 people over the past 24 hours.
In total, 63,006 people have been registered there since the center began operations.

On the night of October 3, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 157 strike drones. The enemy launched drones from four directions, and among the weapons used were Shahed-type strike UAVs, “Gerbera” drones, and “Parody” decoy drones.
Over the past day, Russian occupation forces carried out 737 strikes on 55 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Two people were injured as a result of the enemy attacks.
On the evening of October 2, Russian troops attacked Dnipro again. A fire broke out in the city, and debris from the strike fell on the parking lot of the Dnipro City Council. Information about possible casualties is currently being verified.
On the morning of October 3, Russian forces struck the North Bridge in Kyiv. Prior to this, a series of explosions rocked the capital amid an air raid alert and the threat of attacks by strike drones.
Prior to this, the Russian Federation—the aggressor state—had attacked a bridge in Kyiv, Ukraine, for the second day in a row. An evening drone strike on the closed South Bridge marked yet another attack on the capital’s infrastructure.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia—the aggressor state—may intensify its attacks on Ukraine ahead of the U.S. midterm elections scheduled for November 3. He made these remarks in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País.
