One person was killed and a church was damaged as a result of a Russian strike on Vilnyansk
One person was killed and another wounded in an enemy attack on the town of Vilnyansk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast on May 4. The shelling destroyed a shopping pavilion and a private home, and damaged a local church.
This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
Rescue services continue to work at the sites of the strikes, clearing debris and documenting the consequences of the Russian Federation’s terrorist act against civilian infrastructure. According to preliminary data, the strike caused significant damage to residential areas and commercial facilities in the city center. Authorities are urging residents of the region to remain in shelters during air raid alerts, as the threat of repeated attacks by ballistic missiles and drones remains high.
On the morning of May 4, Russian terrorists launched a missile strike on the city of Merefa in the Kharkiv region. Preliminary reports indicate the strike was carried out using an Iskander ballistic missile.
Nine civilians were injured as a result of a drone attack on Zaporizhzhia carried out by the aggressor country on Sunday. Among the victims is a two-year-old child, and the ages of those injured range from 2 to 67 years old.
On the afternoon of May 3, Russian troops launched missile strikes on Ukraine, resulting in several explosions being heard in Dnipro.
