One person was killed as a result of Russia's attack on Balakliya
In Balakliya, Kharkiv Oblast, Russian troops struck a residential area on the night of June 24. One person was killed in the attack, according to Vitaliy Karabanov, head of the city’s military administration.
According to the head of the military administration, the occupiers once again targeted the community’s civilian population—private residential buildings in the city came under fire.
As a result of the attack, one person was killed and another was injured—the victim was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction. Karabanov expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.


He said that from the very first moments, all relevant services have been working on the scene to address the aftermath of the shelling and provide necessary assistance to the victims.

Karabanov emphasized that Russia will be held accountable for its actions.
“The enemy will answer for every life taken, for every home destroyed,” he said.
As a reminder, drones struck 193 Russian trucks near occupied Crimea over the course of five days.
Earlier, on June 16, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don handed down sentences to two Ukrainian prisoners of war from the “Azov” battalion, sentencing them to 17 and 20 years of imprisonment in a penal colony.
Russia has handed down yet another round of sentences to Ukrainian prisoners of war. The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced six defenders of Ukraine to terms ranging from 12 to 19 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
