Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved a plan for new military operations against Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a strategic meeting with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov, during which a list of new offensive operations on the front lines was approved.
The head of state emphasized that despite the enemy’s increased activity, the Ukrainian command has already outlined further plans for striking the enemy’s strategic targets.
According to the president, this week has been marked by attempts by Russian occupiers to launch an offensive, aided by favorable weather conditions.
However, these actions will not bring the aggressor the desired result on the battlefield, but will only lead to the depletion of its reserves and significant losses in manpower.
“As a result, the only tangible outcome for the Russian army has been an increase in their losses, namely: in just these seven days, more than 8,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or seriously wounded,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
He also added that due to failures on the front lines and systematic lies in official reports, some Russian brigade commanders have been relieved of their posts.
The situation in Donetsk Oblast has remained stable over the past week, and Ukrainian positions have not undergone significant changes.
At the same time, in the Kharkiv region and in the border areas of the Sumy region, enemy attempts to advance deeper into the territory have been recorded; however, defense forces are successfully destroying units attempting to cross the border.
Special attention was paid during the meeting to the Oleksandrivka sector, where assault and airborne units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting active countermeasures.
The President expressed his gratitude to every soldier holding the line and participating in offensive operations, driving the occupiers out of their positions.
An important point of discussion was the effectiveness of Ukrainian “deep strikes”—strikes deep into the enemy’s rear infrastructure. Military leadership analyzed the accuracy of recent attacks and identified new priority targets.
“We specifically noted the accuracy of our deep strikes and outlined the next steps. I approved a number of new operations,” the head of state emphasized.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy outlined the key objective of the peace talks in the U.S.
Zelenskyy also spoke about the work of the special services regarding the new Russian messaging app.
