The enemy is trying to break through toward the Antonivskyi Bridge
In the Prydniprovia direction, the enemy is intensifying attacks during favorable weather conditions, attempting to push Defense Forces units from the left bank of the Dnipro and advance toward the islands.
This was reported during the national telethon by Mykola Stavytskyi, commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps.
According to him, the situation remains fully under control. The enemy “throws itself against the shore like a fish against ice,” suffering maximum losses. The occupiers wait for fog or rain to use as cover for attempts to land their assault groups.
They usually move toward the Antonivskyi Bridge or the islands in order to attack Ukrainian positions. However, these maneuvers are detected in time by drones, and the enemy’s assault units are destroyed before they even approach.
“Their goal is simple — to drive our forces from the left bank before the cold sets in. This is politically important for them: in case of possible negotiations, they want to hold the left bank without Ukrainian troops. In addition, this would create a bridgehead for a spring offensive on Kherson,” Stavytskyi said.
