The enemy continues its offensive on several fronts despite suffering losses – ISW

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), as of June 25, Russian troops continue their assault operations in key sectors of the front, despite significant losses in personnel and equipment. At the same time, analysts note only minor tactical successes by the enemy in the Oleksandrivka sector, while in most other areas, Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions and preventing further advances.

Russian troops have attempted to infiltrate the northern part of the Sumy region. Fighting continues in the areas of Bachkivsk, Pysarivka, and Nova Sich, which may indicate that the occupiers are infiltrating border settlements. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have allegedly captured Izvolzhanske, but a Ukrainian military unit refuted this information, emphasizing that the village remains under the full control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The enemy also carried out infiltration operations in the north of the Kharkiv region. Following this, Ukrainian forces attacked Russian positions near Kozacha Lopana.

On June 24, a Russian military blogger claimed that Ukrainian troops had launched a counterattack near Ambarne and Khatne—both settlements northeast of Velykyi Burluk.

On June 23, Ukrainian forces struck Russian positions in southern Hlyushkivka, southeast of Kupiansk. Analysts suggest that Russian troops had carried out an infiltration mission prior to this.

On June 24, the occupiers attacked between Zagryzove, northeast of Borova, and Borova itself.

In the Sloviansk sector, enemy forces also attempted infiltration missions, but Ukrainian troops successfully counterattacked the occupiers near Rai-Oleksandrivka and Pazeno (both southeast of Sloviansk). A Russian military blogger claimed that Russian troops had advanced southwest of Rai-Oleksandrivka, but there is no official confirmation at this time.

Russian troops recently carried out an infiltration mission in the Kostiantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area.

The occupiers also continued limited ground operations in the Dobropillia tactical area on June 23–24, but did not advance.

A similar situation is observed in the Pokrovsk direction.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces made minor advances and established a foothold near the confluence of the Solena and Vovcha rivers, as well as in the Voskresenka area. At the same time, Ukrainian forces carried out successful counterattacks and maintain the initiative in certain areas, particularly between Sichneve and Vorone.

On June 23 and 24, the enemy attempted to advance in the Huliaipil sector, but these attempts were unsuccessful.

Russian military bloggers report that limited assault operations are continuing in the west of Zaporizhzhia Oblast; however, Ukrainian forces are launching counterattacks and holding their positions, halting the enemy’s advance.

Neither Ukrainian nor Russian sources reported any ground activity in the Kherson sector on June 24, according to the ISW.

As a reminder, the General Staff reported the elimination of 1,270 Russian occupiers over the 24-hour period ending June 25.

Prior to that, drones struck 193 Russian trucks near occupied Crimea over the course of five days.

Earlier, on June 16, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don handed down sentences to two Ukrainian prisoners of war from the “Azov” battalion, sentencing them to 17 and 20 years of imprisonment in a penal colony.

Russia has handed down yet more sentences to Ukrainian prisoners of war. The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced six defenders of Ukraine to terms ranging from 12 to 19 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
