Over the course of a week, Russia launched 61 missiles, more than 1,560 drones, and 1,540 aerial bombs at Ukraine

Throughout the week, Russian troops launched massive strikes on Odesa, Kharkiv, Pavlohrad, and other regions of Ukraine. The attacks have resulted in fatalities and dozens of injuries, and have caused damage to residential buildings, civilian and energy infrastructure, as well as port facilities. This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to the head of state, this week alone the enemy launched 61 missiles of various types against Ukraine (56 of which followed a ballistic trajectory), as well as more than 1,560 attack drones and 1,540 guided aerial bombs. 

As a result of nighttime shelling in Odesa, the port and civilian buildings were damaged, and eight people were injured. In Kharkiv, two people were killed and dozens more were injured when a drone struck a high-rise building. There are also casualties in Pavlohrad, including four children. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia and increase the supply of air defense systems.

This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a Telegram post.

On the morning of August 9, Russian forces launched strikes on the Saltivsky district of Kharkiv, killing two people and injuring at least 12 others.

On the night of August 9, Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Odesa using strike drones and ballistic missiles, resulting in at least six people being injured.
