Russia struck Odesa, damaging buildings and a hospital

Russian troops attacked Odesa again overnight. The strike damaged residential buildings, as well as medical and educational facilities. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.

 

The shock wave shattered windows in at least ten nearby residential buildings. Local residents also reported a powerful explosion and a large column of black smoke visible above the site of the strike. According to preliminary information, no one was injured as a result of the attack in Odesa. Rescue workers and other city services are on the scene. They are clearing up the aftermath of the strike and inspecting the damaged buildings.

That same night, Odesa City Clinical Hospital No. 1 was damaged. The strike hit the upper floors of the medical facility. The building’s facade was partially destroyed, and offices on several floors were damaged. Windows were also shattered, and the roof and some interior structures were damaged. At the time of the attack, there were no patients or medical staff in the hospital, so, according to available information, none of them were injured.

In addition, one of the city’s educational institutions sustained damage as a result of the nighttime strike. Experts continue to inspect the sites to determine the full extent of the damage. Currently, the relevant services are continuing to work on-site. Final information regarding the consequences of the attack may be subject to change. In Kyiv, internet outages occurred following the Russian Federation’s attack on a data center.

100,000 households in Kyiv and the surrounding region were left without stable internet access due to the Russian attack, according to the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

Since the evening of September 22, Russian troops have attacked two districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 10 times. The occupiers used drones and dropped aerial bombs; one person was injured as a result of the attacks.
