Russia has lost more than 1,500 occupiers in the past 24 hours — General Staff
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military has eliminated 1,590 Russian occupiers. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated data on Russian military casualties as of the morning of Friday, September 25, 2026.
Russian Casualties in the War as of September 25, 2026
As of September 25, Russia has lost the following in the war with Ukraine:
- personnel—approximately 1,525,570 (+1,590) individuals;
- tanks – 12,369 (+2);
- armored fighting vehicles – 25,415 (+13);
- artillery systems – 50,275 (+35);
- multiple-launch rocket systems – 2,157 (+3);
- air defense systems – 1,669 (+0);
- aircraft – 443 (+0);
- helicopters – 356 (+0) units;
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,736 (+9) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 532,575 (+1,223) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,118 (+7) units;
- ships/boats – 35 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0);
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 153,152 (+370) units;
- special equipment – 4,741 (+1) units

The General Staff updated the Russian Federation’s losses as of September 23 and reported the elimination of 1,560 occupiers over the past 24 hours.
We should add that drones attacked the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions overnight.
As a reminder, Russia struck Kharkiv on the night of September 23, resulting in one fatality.
On the morning of September 23, air raid alerts were issued in Kyiv and several regions due to the threat of UAVs.
