Zaporizhzhia in smoke after Russian shelling
Zaporizhzhia came under attack by Russian forces during the day on 20 February. The shelling damaged infrastructure, and smoke rose over the city.
This was reported with reference to the Telegram account of Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration (OVA).
"The smoke rising over Zaporizhzhia is the result of an enemy attack on the regional centre’s infrastructure," Fedorov said.
According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA, there is currently no information about casualties from the Russian shelling. All emergency services are working at the impact sites.
Recently, Russian forces have intensified attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region, using KABs, missiles, and various types of drones.
Russia also attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones: one person was killed, and residential buildings were damaged.
