Zaporizhzhia Region Under Massive Attack: 1,021 Shelling Incidents in 24 Hours
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 1,021 strikes on 38 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. As of June 24, one person was killed and 12 others were wounded in Zaporizhzhia and surrounding districts as a result of the attacks.
This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to him, Russian forces carried out 11 airstrikes on Malokaterynivka, Mariivka, Yuliivka, Samiilivka, Mykhailivka, Novosoloshyne, Orikhiv, Svoboda, Mykilskyi, and Chervona Krynytsia.
785 UAVs of various types (primarily FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Vilniansk, Malokaterynivka, Richne, Novooleksandrivka, Novoyakovlivka, Mykhailo-Lukashivka, Stepnogorsk, Primorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukyanivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Orikhiv, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohirya, Charivne, Hulyaypilsk, Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Svyatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Rybne, Verkhnia Tersa, and Olenokostyantynivka.
Two MLRS attacks targeted Novoyakovlivka and Hulyaypilsk.
223 artillery strikes hit Richne, Novoyakovlivka, Stepnogorsk, Primorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukyanivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Orihiv, Huliaipol, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohirya, Charivne, Dobropillia, Rybne, Huliaipole, Staroukrainka, Verkhnia Tersa, Sviatopetrivka, Vozdvizhivka, and Tsvitkove.
A total of 135 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure were received, Fedorov clarified on Telegram.
As a reminder, drones struck 193 Russian trucks near occupied Crimea over the course of five days.
Earlier, on June 16, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don handed down sentences to two Ukrainian prisoners of war from the “Azov” battalion, sentencing them to 17 and 20 years of imprisonment in a penal colony.
Russia has handed down yet another round of sentences to Ukrainian prisoners of war. The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced six defenders of Ukraine to terms ranging from 12 to 19 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
