Zelenskyy promised to intensify strikes on Russian oil refineries

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine plans to significantly intensify attacks on Russian oil refineries in response to the Russian Federation’s new approaches to waging war.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian intelligence has obtained documents which, the president claims, indicate that the Russian leadership is planning large-scale strikes on Kyiv and other major Ukrainian cities.

He noted that Russian troops are increasingly targeting civilian infrastructure, logistics, roads, schools, and hospitals. Zelenskyy believes the purpose of these strikes is to put pressure on the population and force people to flee their cities.

The president also stated that Ukraine would respond to these actions with strikes on Russian oil infrastructure.
