During a working visit to the Rivne region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited wounded Ukrainian soldiers in a hospital, spoke with them, and presented them with state awards. He also emphasized the importance of developing a rehabilitation system for veterans and supporting medical workers. Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram.

During his visit to Rivne Oblast, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited a medical facility where Ukrainian soldiers wounded on various fronts are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation, and personally spoke with them about their condition and service.

According to the head of state, among the defenders are those who fought in the Kharkiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions, as well as those who participated in the Kursk Offensive, and each of them has received state awards for their service and contribution to the defense of the country. “I visited our soldiers who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation after being wounded at one of the medical facilities in the Rivne region. I spoke with the defenders. I honored the soldiers with state awards. Thank you for your service and for defending our country,” Zelenskyy noted.

Separately, the president emphasized that developing infrastructure for veterans’ rehabilitation remains an important part of state policy, as this is not only about medical care but also about respect for people who have been through war. “This is about respect for our people. Thank you to our doctors, intensive care specialists, and everyone who works every day to ensure our soldiers have access to quality treatment, rehabilitation, and support,” the president wrote.

Thus, the visit was not only a working trip but also a symbolic gesture of support for the military personnel who are undergoing the difficult process of recovery from combat injuries.
