Zelenskyy announced that a new interceptor had successfully shot down a Shahid jet
Successful tests of new domestically produced interceptors designed to counter "Shahed"-type jet drones were conducted in Ukraine, resulting in the confirmed downing of an enemy target.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, production of these interceptors will be scaled up, and the state continues to develop its own means of exerting pressure on the enemy and prepare new active and long-range operations.
During a briefing by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty, the situation on the front lines was also discussed. In the Donetsk region, the situation is developing in a way that is favorable for Ukrainian forces; in the Kupiansk direction, preparations are underway to reinforce positions; and in the Oleksandrivka direction, the systematic destruction of the occupiers’ facilities continues. The head of state specifically commended the combat performance of the soldiers of the 82nd and 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigades. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized: “It is important that there has been another positive result from the tests of interceptors against ‘Shahed’ drones: a drone was shot down.”

Meanwhile, Russia is deploying new Geran-5 jet drones capable of speeds up to 600 km/h.
