Zelenskyy called on partners to respond following Russia's strike on a school in Sumy
Russian troops launched an attack with four guided bombs on the center of Sumy. One of them struck a school building where classes were in session.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, about 100 students and school staff managed to take cover and were evacuated before the attack. Two people were killed in the strike, and six others were injured, including three children.
Private homes were also damaged. Emergency services are on the scene dealing with the aftermath of the attack.

Zelenskyy called on the U.S., Europe, and other partners to increase pressure on Russia in response to the strikes on civilian targets.

“To strike like this at children, at schools, at ordinary homes. America, Europe, and all our partners must not forget that Russia will not stop this madness without real pressure,” the president said.

He added that Ukraine expects concrete actions in response to the Russian strikes, not just statements.
