Zelenskyy has approved plans for long-range strikes against Russia in June

Ukraine plans to intensify long-range strikes on Russian territory, having approved a corresponding set of measures for next month. 

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address. 

The head of state noted the high effectiveness of Ukrainian attacks, calling them long-range sanctions against the aggressor that have already demonstrated their significant power throughout May, and called for their creative development.

During a military briefing, the command reported to the president on the current situation on the front lines, particularly in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Kharkiv sectors, as well as in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, this month has seen a positive shift in the dynamics in favor of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, which have become more effective at holding defensive positions and inflicting greater damage on Russian occupation forces.

Following the discussion of the situation on the front lines, the head of state identified a list of decisions requiring immediate implementation. To this end, the government plans to significantly increase the supply of various equipment to the troops. The main and unchanging priorities for defense procurement and funding are to equip units with drones and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, as well as to allocate separate additional funding directly for the needs of combat brigades.
